WBC is much safer, healthier, and more effective than a traditional ice bath. WBC involves exposing the body to hyper-cooled air ranging from -200 to -240° F, triggering the body’s natural healing mechanisms. During the 2-3 minutes of healing therapy, the brain stimulates the body’s organ regulatory functions resulting in energy increase, cell rejuvenation, immune system boost, increased endorphins and adrenaline, and overall system self-healing.
WBC purifies the blood, increases the body’s nutrient flow, and removes toxins from the system. By increasing the rate at which purified blood circulates through the body, the rate at which soft tissues and joints can heal is maximized.
Very different from WBC, in a traditional ice bath cold water causes the body to warm blood in its core to transport to dilated vessels in outer tissue, forcing the body to overexert itself in preventing the skin’s surface from freezing. In WBC, cold air is used instead of cold water, causing the body to respond to triggered cold sensors in the skin’s surface instead of the deeply penetrating cold of the ice bath. While in a cold bath your body actually feels like it’s freezing, WBC “tricks” the body into applying ameliorated healing mechanisms without the penetrating cold. The result is a more comfortable healing experience where the total time your body is exposed to air in the WBC session is never more than 3 minutes.
